Ontario's PV Feed In Tariff Program

Using Ontario content to produce solar power & free heat!

Consider the benefits of generating green energy from the sun, and selling it for a guaranteed price. You can be part of Ontario’s growing green energy movement, make money and contribute to a cleaner environment. If you are a government agency, school, farmer or small business owner, you have the opportunity to develop a renewable electricity generation project and you will be paid a guaranteed price of up to 80.2 cents per kWh for all the electricity your solar project produces for 20 years.

Best of all, the SolarDuct mounting system for PV modules qualifies as Ontario domestic content, and, since SolarDuct is also a modular roof mounted solar air heater (based off of the award winning SolarWall solar air heating system), you can heat your building for free thanks to the SolarDuct's built in  solar air collector that captures the suns rays, as well as heat from the PV modules.  With SolarDuct PV/T, the same panels produce both solar electricity and solar heat with a solar conversion efficiency of over 50% or triple that of any other PV system!

The SolarDuct PV/T system qualifies for up to four incentive programs, two from Ontario, one Federal and one from the gas utility depending on location.

  1. The Ontario Feed In Tariff (FIT) Program pays up to 80.2 cents per kWh for all solar PV electricity for twenty years.
  2. The Federal program is administered by Natural Resources Canada and is called ecoEnergy for Renewable Heat and Commercial, Industrial, Commercial, and Agricultural clients are eligible for this program.
  3. Once approved for the Federal ecoEnergy program, Ontario based companies are automatically approved for a matching grant from the Ontario Ministry of Energy.
  4.  Enbridge Gas also offers a grant for their commercial industrial customers who install a SolarWall heating system.
